Description:

The department seeks undergraduate research assistants who will be participating in a NASA sponsored research project. The research tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Learn and study the natural convection heat transfer (melting) in a cylindrical coordinate system
  • Perform experiments
  • Conduct data collection and analyses
  • Manage lab equipment and spaces
  • Report to the supervisor, weekly
  • Generate a publication at the Utah Academy of Science

Duration: This task shall be completed by May 1, 2022

Qualifications:

The applicants need to have and demonstrate understanding of college heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and basic engineering principles. To be considered as an undergraduate student researcher, the applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better.
